Another Fun Tequila Friday in South Beach

5:11 AM
Yesterday, I completed my 5 day Prolon Fast Mimicking Diet.
Truly, the only way I can do something like that is to just isolate myself for 5 days.
It is not easy.  I don't even like to walk down Lincoln Road
where all the restaurants are, while doing this cleanse.

This being my 2nd cleanse in 2 months, by Day 5 (Friday),
I was REALLY itching to get out.
No plans.
Decided it was too beautiful of a day for me to stay home ALL day again.
So, I went down to Smith and Wollenski, and sat at the outside bar alone
not knowing how far I was going to take this. (diet)
So, I ordered a scallop appetizer and water with lemons.
My first hearty food all week.
(They know I always like water with lemons there, so they always keep my glass full) #thankful
Then I connected with a couple of young looking married guys who own restaurants in Virginia,
and they wanted suggestions of places to go.
So, I told them I would walk them down to Monty's, where there is live music on Fridays.
They had gone to Prime 112 last night, so then I told them they had to see Bodega and Foxhole.

As I was walking out of Smith, I noticed a small lady with a hat taking my seat outside.
(the only seat at the bar out of the sun, with a beautiful view of the cruise liners going by)

On our way, walking down to Monty's I got a text from a friend of mine,
who said he'd meet me there in 30!
Cool, I had been hoping I'd run into friends that I could hang with,
but there didn't seem to be a big crowd out last night.
The guys I had walked there with disappeared, and when my friend David showed up,
there seemed to be a girl following him.  Beautiful young girl.  24, I found out.  I thought I was meeting my friend, David alone, but this beautiful young girl sat down next to me,
with David on the other side of me, and pulled a chair close to me,
and kept her eyes fixated on me.
(in an unexpected adoring way)
It seemed at first a little strange...I'm not gonna lie.
David and I laughed because the story he had first told me was
that he didn't know this girl, and "met her out in the parking lot."

She asked me, "do you want his phone number??"
I said, "No, do you??  He likes 25 year old girls," I said of David age 61.
David and I laughed.
The girl did not.

While she was there, she told me that she had a Phillippino mom who was 1/2 the age of her dad,
and they were still married and she was from Naples, FL, only child.
She went to Barron Collier High School, (where two of my girls and my cousins had gone),
and she was a realtor, and she has a 53 year old Jewish boyfriend who takes her shopping at her favorite store, which she kept telling me the name of.  It must be expensive, but clearly I don't frequent there, because I did not recognize the name.
However, she likes that he takes her shopping and buys her things.
She isn't looking for love nor kids.
She showed me a picture of him. (He looked in ok shape, but not a great looking guy)

However, when the girl left, David sat down next to me, and apologized.
He said that he didn't want to lie to me, and he had done something "bad."
Then David started rustling around in his backpack looking for something
like he was preparing to leave...
I was like: WHAT??
"Did you forget your credit card?"
"Did you forget money"
"Are you leaving? Do you have a date??"

He said that is the girl that he sometimes "sees."
(I knew about her...I thought she was 25, that is the girl who I was referring to)
David said she has been wanting to meet me, wants to work for my family,
and has heard about me and has wanted to meet me for a long time.
When he would never introduce me, yesterday, she finally grabbed his phone,
and text me (as tho she were David) that he was going to meet me.

He said that he wasn't really sure why she has such a fascination with me,
but thought it might be because I look like Dolly Parton.
I was like: "Whaaaaat??"
I'm not so sure about that!!!

Ahhh. That was fine. No big deal.
I told him he didn't need to lie to me about that.
Then, the woman who took my seat at Smith, walked passed us.
I casually told David that she had taken my seat when I left Smith to come to Monty's.
I don't know WHY, but suddenly David darted over tapped her on the shoulder,
and asked her to come sit with us!👀
He told her he'd buy her a drink!!!😂

The lady came, and sat down with me,  She was quite interesting.
She had a masters degree, was 68, lost her only child, daughter, at age 21,
was waiting for her husband to come and meet her, but she had started their vacation early,
and was interested in seeing South Beach.
She had a great attitude, very upbeat.

Wow.  I cannot even imagine losing a child, and what that would do to you. Thank God.
But this woman was amazing, great positive attitude, and had a smile on her face.

When she told me she lives in Houston, I told her that I am going to Austin, TX, October 13th
for a conference for this new awesome gel that I have found that is making me feel great, and is keeping me young looking!! getonthegel.com
So then I told her about this new business that I am really excited about,
and she started also getting excited!

She said that she wanted to also go to the conference with me.
Delilah said it is only a 4 hour drive!  But a shorter flight, so she would probably fly!!

Just then, we noticed that David was paying the check, and packing up to leave.  He said that I could go with him, and I said, well, we can't leave our new friend!  She HAS to come with us!!

David said that the car was coming, but he wanted to stop at home.
David said he was carrying a backpack, and really didn't feel like he looked good in the
sport shorts he was wearing.
He said his girlfriend (well, his girlfriend and the girlfriend of a few other guys he said)
had dragged him out of the house looking like that coming to meet me, and
wouldn't give him a chance to change!!
But, I was like, well, David I would love to see your condo, I never have...but we are going to Bodega...lights will be dim, and NO ONE is going to look that good there!! 😂

He agreed, and we went straight there.  The car dropped us outside the Bodega, that looks like just a mexican stop from the outside, but then you'll notice this door, on the right side, which looks like a bathroom door of a ship, but when you open it, and walk through the men's urinal, and open the door on the other side, you walk into a beautiful lounge, with pool table, sometimes live music, and expensive drinks (unless you make their happy hour during the week).
There, David ordered us all tequilas  GOOD tequila.
None of us could remember the type of tequila the bartender recommended.
We had never heard of it before, But it was amazing!!!
Just then, my new friend, Delilah, would not rest until I TRIED the orange in my tequila!!
She likes it way better than any other fruit with tequila.
Eh, to me, I like lime.
Ok. after one tequila at Bodega, we needed to walk our new friend, Delilah down the Alley to the place where David and I first met.  Foxhole, a red light in an alley.

David called Foxhole our "birthplace" last night!
Because the funny story is that we met when we kept seeing each other 3 years ago there,
when as he told me,
I would take my first dates there, and he would always be there alone, watching, listening.😂

David bought us all one more Casa Amigo's tequila, which was good, but the new one
at Bodega was better!!  Our new search is to return and find out the name!

Then, as David does, he has an alter-ego personality that he becomes late at night, "Brock,"
and this is usually the time we part ways, as I've had enough to drink,
and this man can go all night!!

Delilah and I walked down the alley together, and parted when she headed for Alton Rd to catch a car to take her to her hotel, and I continued the short walk home.
This is how life long friends are made in South Beach.
