PUBLIC SERVICE MESSAGE: Dating Profile Do's and Don'ts
In the process of making it a lil easier for my soulmate to find me, I have placed my profile on a couple of dating sites within the last 9 years, on and off, since I've been single, and I have started seeing repetition of some really funny profile pictures.
I just want to start out by saying that when I see a guy put up pictures of the way he used to look...YEARS ago...I realize there must not be anything much better to see now. Like: "Look at this! This was when I was at my best!! And, that is about as good as it's gonna get with me."
Nudity, and a messy room behind you really doesn't come off as flattering as you might think... we are looking for every indication in the picture of the kind of person you are. Now we know how easy it is to get your clothes off you, (and especially when sending "dick pics," we get the idea that your stuff is for show for any woman to see), and we have the idea that if we "SCORE" with you...we might just be able to be picking up those clothes left around you...or the messy bathroom!
Also, I had NO IDEA there were so many men out there walking around in SUPERMAN shirts!! But, clearly I have been missing out, because I probably see at least 1 man a week online wearing a big S on his shirt...I don't know...it just always makes me laugh. Good looking guy below, but based on the fact he is a middle age man wearing a superman shirt, I must thwart the desire to swipe right.
Then there is the guy who brings it back to days of the caveman and makes a muscle to show the girls how strong
he is...I can honestly say that this has never made me think a man was
more handsome. But it's like I always think when I see the begger on the street...or the catcalls and whistles from the guys on the street, it must work to reach their end goal, because otherwise, they would not continue to do it!
However, I can honestly say, my LEAST favorite pose is the one with the guy's tongue out: 
" Like here I am...looking as smart as I can look...FOR YOU!!!"
(Unintentionally, this first guy is the same guy as in the muscle pic above...I SCORED!!)
All of these will result in an immediate left swipe from me. Whether it is a blank profile pic (what does that tell you?? BLANK??) I think there is NOTHING going on here or a guy covering his face (because he may be married?).

Then there are the landscaping pics or inanimate objects, bad lighting or ANIMALS, children in the pictures OR I can't see your face!! ALL I want to see is YOU, so I can decide if I want to learn MORE ABOUT YOU...I don't care how cute your kids are...I wonder why you are putting them online for any (strange) women to see...OR the beautiful sunset you saw last night...or 2 years ago!!!

For me, I think your profile picture should be your BEST look. To me, a clean, manicured man in a suit and a pocket square in the first picture will almost always get a right swipe to then advance to text conversation and actually READING the profile info to see if it sounds like we have ANYTHING in common or that I could be attracted!!
I'm not saying I'm right, but just saying this is what works for me, and hence my DATES.😃
