NOT Feeling 50, But Feeling FABULOUS!

9:17 AM
Ever since I met David over 3 years ago, he has always planned an amazing birthday celebration for me!  This year, I was blessed with another dear friendship, Gaynor Fairchild, or Tina, as she is lovingly called. As David was looking around for different venues for the party this year, Tina kept offering up her beautiful home right on the piece of water which is on what's called the "government cut," piece of land, where cruise liners can be seen going past, and a few different bodies of water connect.  David and I were both  unsure if Tina was really up for the big party that she was offering up her home. So we didn't immediately accept her generous offer.
Picture is the FULL PARTY GROUP 2018

First party David planned for me in 2015, was at Villa Azur, one of my favorite restaurants in South Beach.  It is a fine dining restaurant until about 10pm, and then the lights go down...the music comes up, and it becomes a night club!  My party was complete with full dinner for me and each of my guests, sparklers, and bottles being popped!  Next year was down the road at a similar establishment called BAOLI, following a bigger cocktail party at David's good size condo at the Roney Palace on SouthBeach.

The picture of is my friend David another local friend, David McVicker, (who is actually developing a new app for people to connect, called "ANEAR"...look for it December 2018!  It will connect people, when they are in the same event or location) on the beautiful balcony above the government cut.  Tina and I are just outside her front door on the next picture, as my guests were entering and leaving the party from the elevators.  She showed me how she had decorated her place for me and even had a pic of the birthday invitation at the front door!

My 50th Birthday Celebration ended up being nothing short of amazing!!  Tina had the floor lined with red carpet,  as my friends entered, bright colored lights (like Christmas) and David and Amy had the place fully stocked with liquor and food.  My friend Sylvia also brought some home cooked delicious pasta dishes, among other things!!

I am pictured with my close friend, Nesti Mendoza and his friend, who has now become my friend too, Marlene Green.  Then in the subsequent picture, on my right is my good friend, and MD, Gloria Garcia and on my left, is Angela Morales, who is actually the mother of my daughter, Caroline's boyfriend(for about 4 years).  Angie is a busy Respiratory Therapist who lives on the other side of Miami, and we have been wanting to get together here in South Beach for a couple of years!!  Then, my girlfriend, Lina Barroso is on my far left in the black.
(My guests were asked to wear Black or White)
Only Tina, the hostess, and I had agreed to be colorful...and Sylvia said she had no black nor white to wear, but honestly, with her contribution of food, she earned her colors!
Tina thought it would be good for me to wear pink, she said, because I always wear red.
So after finding a pink dress, (shopped with my daughter, Caroline).
I also got my fingernails complete in a color perfectly called "Birthday Pink"
and my eyelashes had a little gold glitter.
David and Tina both told me that I couldn't get there early, because the crowd had to arrive before me!  So, I ended up meeting my cousins, Jeff and Libby Bradtmiller, with their spouses, Carolyn and Harry, (pictured above), who came to town for the party for a bite over Joe's Stone Crab first!  Last time I was there, I ran into Ivanna Trump, who coincidentally also lives on the same floor of Tina and Don's building of the Murano Portofino, where my 50th Birthday Celebration was!
Next pictured, is a friend who I just reunited with recently, Jodi Andres, who flew in from Michigan with her husband, Doug Firebaugh of Passionfire Intl,
(long story, but I am actually the one who brought this couple together 15 years ago!!),
and Lina, Angie, Tina, me and then Bret Mckinney (my "church buddy").

Party started at 7pm, so I started over to the party with my cousins at around 8...on our way there, my friend, Nesti Mendoza, called and jokingly said:  "Where are you!?  People are starting to leave!!!!"

Security had to be kept on high, so each of my guests' full names had to be on the list with the guard station or they were not allowed to enter and enjoy the party.
In the above pictures, 1st one, on my right is June Savage & her guest.  June is a local friend, with real estate and active political background, and to my left is my friend,
Amy Brassfield, who I first met when she lived in South Beach, but she has since moved to Washington DC, and flew in for the party.

2nd Picture, on my far right, Raul Galvez, Art Rosen in the white shirt with Livi Revo
(local South Beach friends), and to my left, Adella Spinela and Sherry Francis, who I actually met when I lived in the Republic of Panama, and they recognized me at a networking event there as being the Mom they saw with my 4 daughters,
when we lived in Naples, FL and all 4 girls were Topgun Cheerleaders!!

Sylvia brought in the Coconut cake completely lit up, and I got my third chance to make an unforgettable wish to enhance my future path for another year!
(because I was blessed with the opportunity of blowing out 3 different candles during my birthday...and 1 more the next day at Smith and Wollinsky!
Good thing, because first chance took me by surprise, and I wasn't prepared to take advantage of my wish opportunity!! SHWOO!

So anyway, it was a great birthday, great party, great friends.
Could have only been better if it had ended in birthday sex.
Even BAD birthday sex is better than NO birthday sex.
Can't remember the last birthday when I had either of those...

But now we will just shoot for next year!
Looking ahead!
51 is starting to look really GOOD!!
