MLM: what is good about it?
Wow!
It's the end of June already!
Tonight I am just sitting home on the couch in front of a fire in the fireplace in June...
Ok, so my fire is just ultra violet lights in my entertainment center, but it brings me peace...
just like an authentic fireplace in the mountains!
In my thoughts are all of the work and experiences that I've had in the past with Multi level Marketing (MLM) or Network Marketing. When I was a desperate housewife in Naples, FL, I found some vitamins that not only made me lose like 6 dress sizes after my babies were born, and I was sick with Toxemia, but gave me back all that depleted my body in those 6 years when I'd had 4 daughters.
I joined this MLM company because I could then get the vitamins for wholesale, and then just being the person that I am, I wanted to tell all my girlfriends in the Mom's Club that I was in about these great vitamins that had helped me, and had made me feel so much better, and might be able to also help them.
By doing this, I earned a little extra income, (after a change in the generous compensation plan, it became much less, but I still worked for the trips that were offered!). Also I qualified for every trip they had offered as incentive for sales. This became my drive.
So during the time that I was with them, I qualified in the top 20 distributors in the company, Starlight International Vitamins, for every trip incentive, traveling to Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Europe (Venice in the picture below) with my husband on these great trips. He wasn't real big on traveling or planning trips, so this gave him a reason to take off work! He wasn't going to deny me when I had worked so hard to qualify for a trip!
However, finally after about 3 or 5 years with the company, and qualifying for the final(for me)trip to Monte Carlo, then they withdrew the gift, because the company had hit hard times, after being very generous with their distributors for many years before I was involved. So, finally, this ended my involvement with the company. But I learned so many valuable things about sales and people from so many great teachers during my tenure with the company.
I learned that it is NEVER about YOU. Sales is NEVER about you. Meeting people is never about you. It is about whomever you are selling or meeting. LISTEN...this is the best and only way to sell. Listen to those whom you are engaged with. ALSO, THIS is the best way to happiness. I think I was the happiest when I was doing network marketing, and I was a better person, because I was always more engaged with the other person and listening to what they were saying, because I learned that GOD had put them in my path for some reason, and there was something that I could tell them or do to help them. Nothing happens by chance. These people were put in my path because there was something that I could share with them.
Network Marketing is about self-improvement. All of the teachers in MLM teach about how to be happier, and more fulfilled. Then, too, you are connecting with PEOPLE...it is a people business...about making friends...and friends are who you do business with. Business is about PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE. How can this not be a positive thing??
These were two very good friends of mine: Dianna Hayes( far left), and Soraya Ratchford (middle). Each were from far away from where I lived, (1 from VA and 1 from GA, while I lived in Naples, FL), but we met and kept qualifying for the same trips with our sales, and then continued with what the business is about: friendship, support and self improvement.

Now, after many years out of the country, and thru unbelievable coincidences, and circumstances, I am again being introduced to products sold only thru network marketing by people whom I've known for years and trust.
I never thought that I would do network marketing again, nor had any desire, but I am tonight remembering how many positive things, experiences and people that MLM brought into my life, and for this I am forever thankful. I need to try out the products for myself, before I am sure, but, if they are as good as I hear they are...as I'm told they help with anti-aging, increasing HGH, testosterone levels, sex drive, wounds healing faster, pains alleviated, overall attitude and mood improvement, weight loss, energy and improved sleep and dream patterns...
I'm sure I won't be able to help myself, but to tell you about them!
