Documented: Body Transformation Begins

6:34 AM
Hi Friends!!
GOOD MORNING!!
When I first typed that I mistyped, and instead wrote GOD Morning!  Ha!!
Maybe that was a bit of a freudian slip!
I woke feeling energized and wonderful this morning.

Was it because last night I went out with a friend who loves me, and was telling me nice things about myself all the early night that we were together?
VERY important: do the PEOPLE who surround you make you want to BE, DO and HAVE MORE?

Was it because I have worked out my second 4 day week?
Working out emits a hormone in your body that makes you want to work out more!

Was it because I've started on some new vitamins?
Important always to take care of yourself.

Truth is, I HAVE NO IDEA.
I have not gotten up this early, that I remember, since I was a young mother living in Panama, and I had an elliptical machine in my house, that we bought 2nd hand, and I used to get up before I had to get the kids ready for school,
and either I would go to the gym early
or
I would simply elliptical while watching the sun rise from our Penthouse windows over the
Bay of Panama.
That would have been at least 16 or 18 years ago!!  Schwoo time flies!!
I have some things that I want to do today, after I get some work done, making it hard for me to find the time to work out, so I called down to the security guard this morning from bed, and asked what time does the gym open.  I was told 6am!  Ok, then!! NO EXCUSES!!
Now, I am not trying to set any records here.
But I have learned in my almost 50 years (this year!!), that all it takes is
constant and repetitive action.
Whether it is 20 minutes in your home doing lunges, pushups, and sit-ups (which i HAVE DONE!)
or
whether it is going to an actual gym to workout, ALL it takes is consistent movement.

I am just starting my first real exercise beyond what I've done for a year, after hurting myself repetitively in the gym from doing classes, which pushed me too hard, and didn't take into consideration the injuries with which I live.
Until about 1 month ago, the only regular activity that I did was bicycling instead of driving, because I live in South Beach, and so this is my way of life...common here...I sold my car when I moved here.

I also bought a "thigh master," and would use this daily for inner thigh work and arm work, with sit ups, but clearly, because of age or alcoholic intake, or something...
my life has gotten off balance in this area.

TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE.

So now, because I am just starting out, I do 15 minute elliptical, and 15 minute treadmill on an incline of 10-15 and a speed of 3-3.6, but MUST burn at least 100 calories on each machine.
One or the other I may only do 10 minutes, which will equal 25 minute cardio,
which I still think is good, as long as each burns no less than 100 calories.

Today on the elliptical I decided to make my goal 200 calories burned,
which ended up being a little over 15 minutes.  It is all relative to how I feel.
When I am feeling better...I will do MORE!!

Then here, at the end of my work out after 4 paths (groups of 2)lunges, the length of the gym...today I did 1/2 into the 2nd gym room
(but I will only go as far as the blue tooth will reach from my phone to my ear phones!).
MUSIC...CANNOT EXERCISE WITHOUT IT...WILL NOT
Intermittent then, with 2 groups of 15-20 curtseys,
(the one day I worked out with the trainer, she showed me these..
I liked 'em and added 'em to my routine),
situps...for about the length of a song, and leg lifts, song length again,
and then to do arm work which is "flies."
I started last week with 5 lb weights, and this week upgraded to 8 lb weights intermittent with curls and arm raises in 1 motion (10-15)...all depends on how I feel.
I don't usually have much break between sets, and I will increase as I am feeling stronger,
but this is where I am starting.

When I was done and walking out of the gym today, the sun was coming up over the pool, and it took me about an hour...sometimes this workout takes me 45 minutes...sometimes and hour.
But today, I got it out of the way early, and I joined the early crowd down in the gym.
I have also ordered a meal plan that I am waiting for that will help with my weight, and I will take AFTER pictures in 3 months around my 50th birthday: July 21st!
I invite you to join me if you like?
And I will be interested to know how this plan is working for you
 or
what modifications you make to it!?
We are not all the same, and the important thing is just to stay active
for at least 20 minutes/ 2-6 days a week
I find MORE sequential days easier to WANT to workout!

Wish me luck...I am expecting a great turn around because
I AM GOING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
(Turns out that I am the only one who can!;)
